My Role as Chief Operating Officer (COO): Termatree, Enlightenment, Ritual Thangka & Evamratna (Handicraft and Buddhist Art E-commerce Platforms) When I stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, I was managing not one, but four distinct brands — Termatree, Enlightenment, Ritual Thangka, and Evamratna. Each operated in the Buddhist art and handicraft sector, yet each required a different operational rhythm. My focus was to bring consistency, efficiency, and accountability across all departments while letting each brand maintain its own identity. The first step was establishing a clear operational structure. I built departmental SOPs and KPI-driven systems that connected production, photography, editing, logistics, marketing, and sales. Every process — from sketching a Thangka to its final listing online — was mapped, standardized, and tracked. This made performance measurable and improved both speed and quality. I introduced weekly reporting systems and dashboard-based monitoring so that progress, setbacks, and priorities were visible across teams. Marketing and sales were integrated into a single pipeline — content creation, SEO, social media, and e-commerce listings all worked under shared targets and quality checkpoints. In logistics, I streamlined vendor coordination, packaging, and DHL export workflows, ensuring each brand could move products internationally without delay. On the production side, I worked closely with artisans and supervisors to set benchmarks for sketching, coloring, and finishing — blending traditional craftsmanship with data-driven performance tracking. Recruitment and training were another priority. I formed dedicated teams for photo and video production, content creation, and quality assurance, each led by trained supervisors with clear accountability. New hires were onboarded with defined KPIs, and team leads were evaluated through leadership and retention metrics. To keep pace with scale, I introduced workflow automations through Asana and integrated performance dashboards, reducing manual coordination and giving management real-time visibility into each project. Departments that once worked in isolation began operating as a single, coordinated system. Beyond operations, I also helped align each brand with its social purpose. Under our collective vision, we continued supporting artisans through steady work, skill development, and contributions to Buddhist monasteries and sanghas. Campaigns like the Dakini Day Thangka auction reflected this balance between commerce and culture, connecting our art to global audiences with integrity. Managing four brands simultaneously meant balancing detail with strategy — from refining SEO titles and media quality to designing company-wide incentive models. Over time, this structure turned a traditional art-based operation into a performance-oriented ecosystem — one that honors heritage, sustains livelihoods, and runs with the precision of a modern enterprise.
